Klickitat County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of 2000, the population was 19,161 and 20,325 in 2008, according to Sperling's Best Places. The county seat and largest city is Goldendale. It is named after the Klickitat tribe of the Yakama Indian Nation. Klickitat County was created out of Walla Walla County on December 20, 1859.
