Marysville is known as "The Strawberry City" due to the large number of strawberry farms that once surrounded the city in its earlier days. With a population of over 36,000 residents (2007 figures) and growing, Marysville ranks as the 25th largest city in the state, and third largest in the county after Everett (101,800) and Edmonds (40,560).
